Marshall Ellis

Marshall Ellis is an experienced operations lead who has 40 years of executive leadership in global business and manufacturing operations, sourcing, supply chain management, enterprise business consulting, information technology, sales inventory and operations planning, total quality management, value stream management, and global systems infrastructure design in industries that range from construction to outdoor power, marine, and retail. Marshall has implemented operations that led to annualized savings in excess of $3.5 billion. He has also created seven successful business start-ups and greenfield operations, and his distinguished contributions include end-to-end supply chain management launches that improved cycle efficiencies and customer response times by 50%. In addition, under his leadership, teams have implemented lean and mixed-model assembly processes that reduced customer response time from 28 to 5 days, total product cycle times by 80%, and inventory levels by 50%.

 

Marshall’s past experiences include roles as Director of Operations for Ingersoll-Rand Corporation, Plant Manager for Outboard Marine Corporation, Director of Supply Chain Operations for Husqvarna Professional Products, North America, and Engagement Leader for Global Consulting Organizations. Marshall has led re-engineering initiatives to support lean/ six sigma and process redesigns, enabled by Oracle and SAP Enterprise Operating Systems and Technologies. He has also created assessment tools for operational readiness and prerequisites for cross-culture and global operations in North America, France, Germany, China, India, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.  

 

Marshall earned his M.B.A. from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University, and he studied business administration at the University of Mississippi. In addition, Marshall did graduate studies in international relations at Saint Peters College, Oxford University. Marshall also has a number of executive training and certifications centered on supply chain management, order configuration modeling, sales and operations planning, distribution and channel management, distribution management, and demand flow technology. In addition, he has distinguished APICS CPIM and CIRM certifications, and Marshall is a three-time winner of Ingersoll Rand’s Prestigious Chairman and President’s Awards for Operational Excellence.
