Michael X. Shamrell

Michael X. Shamrell brings more than 30 years of successful “hands on” experience to SCE.  Managing large multi-site distribution and transportation network operations, Michael has extensive capability in the CPG manufacturing, big box retail, e-commerce, and food services industries.

Michael has led large supply chain network optimization projects for Supply Chain Edge clients focusing on Process/Business Rules analysis, RFP documentation, solution award and implementation.  Specific strategies entailed current state process analysis, base line data mining, network optimization modeling, along with compiling future state implementation road maps and KPIs. 

Previously, as Director of Distribution for an e-commerce division of Time Warner (BookSpan), Michael led an operational turnaround saving more than $10MM in Distribution, Warehousing and Transportation operating costs over 3.5 years. Results included reducing site headcount 30% on flat volumes while increasing DC throughput over 52%.

At Revlon, Michael led start up/operation for state-of-the-art supply chain systems including TMS Inbound-Outbound (yard/freight/fleet), AS/RS-AGVS, WMS, PKMS, WIP and MRP/SAP   platforms under FDA compliance that saved $25MM over 20 years. Michael led the WMS/TMS Team portion of a successful MRP/SAP-VMI implementation that met the increasing Supply Chain requirements for retail customers (Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, etc).  Michael’s operations at Revlon received the “Productivity Award for Warehousing” from Modern Materials Handling magazine.

Michael holds a BS from the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State, is a Board Member of the CSCMP Arizona Roundtable, and resides with his wife Lynn in Scottsdale
